Systems Officer (Social Care)

Job Introduction

We have a rare opportunity for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our Performance and Systems team as Systems Officer.

This is a busy and varied role providing helpdesk support for adults and children’s social care and finance systems (LCS, EHM & ContrOCC). You’ll ensure systems are maintained and readily available.

We’ll provide you with full training to support you in your role.

A DBS check will be required.

Interviews will be held on 16 December.

Main Responsibility

  • Systems Officer will ensure relevant Social Care systems are maintained and available as per business requirements.
  • Supporting the Systems Manager where required.
  • Support ICT developments affecting Children’s and Adult’s Social Care.
  • Support developments and improvements on the relevant Social Care systems and to help align with MKCC’s ICT Strategy as required.
  • Systems Officers will apply functional knowledge of Children’s Social Care or Adult Social Care systems in problem resolution.

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in helpdesk support, customer services, or adult’s or children’s social care administration, and Microsoft applications including Outlook and Excel.
  • We’re looking for committed and resilient individuals, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of case management systems ideally with good understanding of Local Authority Information Systems.
  • Able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with service staff to identify system needs and suggest solutions to meet service delivery needs.

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week.  Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
