Specialist Business Support Assistant

Job Introduction

The Education, Learning and Inclusion Service are looking to recruit a Specialist Business Support Assistant to work within the business support team looking after our Adult Learners.

Currently the team support learners, offering a range of courses, from art and languages to ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages).  We are also really excited to be taking up a new  course offering, funded through the Department of Education, 'Multiply' sets out to improve adult numeracy through delivering courses that fit around the needs of adults.

The successful candidate will be working within a small team alongside a curriculum manager to support all aspects of workflow for courses.  From booking to ensuring data gathering support funding applications.  We are also looking for someone who is creative and has a real interest in developing our promotional material and social media presence. 

The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a DBS check

Main Responsibility

  • Support the Adult Learning Manager and Curriculum Managers with administrative tasks, such as creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Process course documentation, creating and monitoring online registers, whilst producing data reports for the wider management team
  • Designing promotional material, organising events and contributing to social media
  • Provide a polite and professional first point of contact for service users and other professional staff to support the management team
  • Use of bespoke systems for the creation and administration of online courses

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will be able to work flexibly within the team, providing high level administrative support. 
  • Someone who has excellent IT skills; Word/Excel
  • Someone who is has the ability to quickly and confidently learn and utilise a variety of different bespoke databases. 
  • Someone who can demonstrate the ability to plan ahead and prioritise workload with a strong attention to detail
  • Someone who is respectful and patient who is able to communicate well with others
