Job Introduction
The Education Sufficiency, Access and Attendance – Children Missing from Education (CME) Team are looking to recruit a new Customer Liaison Officer on a 6 month fixed term contract.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with developed customer service skills. As part of the CME Team, you will be the first point of contact for people making enquiries regarding aspects of CME, including Home Education. This team provide customer service to the public and professionals contacting CME by telephone, post, email or online referrals.
This team have an important role in making sure that individuals are provided with information or advice and signposting to other sources of support or information, as well as to offer/consider prevention and support services.
The CME Team is a busy and fast paced team where every day is different. We are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and has knowledge of Children Missing from Education. If you are interested in making a difference and want a varied and rewarding role, then this is the job role for you.
Main Responsibility
- First point of contact for the service, answering telephone calls and emails about aspects of Children Missing from Education.
- Carry out processes and procedures in relation to the council’s role for Children Missing from Education.
- Communicate appropriately with families, professionals and schools regarding and accurately update appropriate databases with new information
- Using electronic database systems to input and retrieve data and information whilst dealing with enquiries

- Good verbal and written communication
- Good problem solving skills
- Accurate record keeping
- Experience of Capita ONE is desirable
