Job Introduction
The Milton Keynes Music Hub works with schools and key partners to ensure that the National Music Plan is implemented fully within the Borough and that all pupils of statutory school age, irrespective of their circumstances, receive a high-quality music education. It aims to provide a wide range of progressive and sustainable musical activities so that all young people aged from 5-18 are able to develop their musical potential.
We also aim to positively enhance the life quality of C&YP by building on its existing strengths and by recognising and responding to areas of need.
Main Responsibility
The Hub is looking for an experienced and well-motivated music teacher to join their high quality Curriculum team as maternity cover. This will be a fixed term contract for 1 – 1.5 days for 1 year starting in May 2022. There is some flexibility in the start date and candidates wishing to start in September may also be considered. The role is flexible and may ultimately be shared between a number of teachers.
We would prefer applications from teachers with experience of teaching curriculum music in KS1 and KS2 and who are also able to offer an instrument specialism to teach whole class ensemble sessions. No individual or small group instrumental teaching is included in this role.
