Resident Engagement Apprentice

Job Introduction

We’re recruiting an apprentice Resident Engagement Officer to join our friendly and supportive Neighbourhoods Team.

This is an exciting time to join the team, as you’ll help to develop and roll out new initiatives to engage our tenants.

You’ll develop your skills to empower our tenants to get involved in activities and give feedback about what we offer.

You’ll deliver and source training and other initiatives, and eventually you’ll give advice to Residents Associations and help local people set up new Residents Associations.

Main Responsibility

  • Empower and encourage tenants so that they have the information and skills to actively participate. Including the delivery and/or sourcing of training and other capacity building initiatives.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new and innovative approached to resident involvement to better understand and encourage the involvement of underrepresented groups.
  • Working collaboratively across teams to support the development and implementation of surveys and consultations, encouraging tenant participation.
  • Have a genuine commitment to customer care, be self-motivated and well organised, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, with the ability to work flexibly and outside of normal office hours as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Willing to work towards supporting residents’ associations across Milton Keynes, offering advice and guidance, including attendance at their meetings. Processing accreditations and Health checks, maintaining clear and comprehensive records.
  • Develop skills in empowering and encouraging tenants so that they have the information and skills to actively participate. Including the delivery and/or sourcing of training and other capacity building initiatives.
  • A valid UK driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
