Primary Mental Health Worker- SAIT

Job Introduction

We are recruiting a Primary Mental Health Worker to join our Specialist Assessment and Intervention Team. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn more about attachment, and how this influences parenting and the development of the children we work with.

You’ll join a team who work alongside primary mental health workers and parenting+ workers offering targeted interventions to children and families that are subject to child in need or child protection plans.

It's a varied workload where you’ll be directly involved with children, parents and carers. You’ll provide a safe space where clients can explore their emotional wellbeing, so experience in helping people manage difficulties such as anxiety, depression and trauma is desirable.

A full UK driving license is required for this role.

Main Responsibility

 

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a similar primary mental health worker role would be desirable. The ideal candidate should hold a minimum Level 3 counselling/ CBT /similar qualification.
