Job Introduction
Are you looking for a job where no shift is ever the same, and at the end of each shift you go home feeling as though you have made a real difference?
Our Home Care service supports adults who have a wide variety of care needs, so they can remain independent in their own homes.
This is an overnight role where you’ll deliver a high standard of essential care and support to service users in their homes between 10:30pm and 7am. The ability to drive is essential as you’ll support users across Milton Keynes during your shift.
This is a key role demanding a high standard of care and an awareness of the special requirements associated with older people, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. Considering diverse cultural needs and personal preferences is an essential part of the role.
Main Responsibility
- Provide a personal care service, delivered as detailed in the agreed care plan whilst following the appropriate Milton Keynes City Council policies and procedures.
- Ensure clear, concise, and accurate records are kept of each visit.
- Respond to the changing needs of our service users, ensuring changes in care plans where required are passed to a manager for further action.
- Always being aware of health and safety, following risk assessments to ensure service users and carers safety.
The Ideal Candidate
- You’ll be reliable, caring, honest, flexible and want to help people.
- Good communication skills and the ability to not only talk to people and make them feel at ease, but also be able to write clear and detailed notes relating to the work you have done.
- We need people that feel confident in travelling around the Milton Keynes area, and who feel that they are able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
