Community Resource Officer

Job Introduction

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Community Resource Officer to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will work with colleagues across children’s and Adult Social Care, as well as providers to identify and negotiate placements, supported living and domestic care packages. This position is home based but will require the candidate to come into the office 1 day per week. Help us make a positive difference the lives of Children, young people and Adults. Apply today.

Main Responsibility

  • To lead the negotiation of placement fees
  • To regularly engage with providers of care
  • Maintain a database of available provision for the Social Work teams
  • To develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • To develop and maintain a vibrant provider market for social care services.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong communications skills with the ability to influence  key stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a highly pressurised team
  • Ability to provide close monitoring of data and performance information
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Degree level education in relevant field or relevant experience in Adult Social Care or Children's Social Care. 
  • Good communication skills
  • Use of databases (LAS/LCS), excel, spreadsheets etc
  • Works well under pressure with short deadlines & able to prioritise work loads.
  • Works well as part of a team but also autonomously.
