Job Introduction
The School Travel Support service provides essential transport assistance for both mainstream pupils and children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This support ensures that eligible students can access education safely and reliably.
In this role, you will be planning and coordinating transport provision, managing payments for families, processing applications and responding effectively to families, schools, and others.
This role may be suitable for home working, following an assessment. Home-Based roles require minimum of one day in the office/site per week.

Main Responsibility
Plan and Coordinate School Travel Arrangements for eligible young people
Process School Travel Applications
Administer Payments to families for School Travel
Maintain accurate and up to date records
Respond to enquiries via phone or email regarding School Travel from families, schools and stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate
5 GCSEs (A-C) Grade or equivalent including Maths and English or equivalent relevant experience
Able to effectively plan, organise, and prioritise workload
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and learn to use new databases
Knowledge of School Travel Support and associated children’s services policies
A Basic DBS will be actioned as part of your pre-employment checks

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
