Job Introduction

The Care and Response Community Alarm service provides alarm units and ‘red button’ pendants to over 5000 residents within Milton Keynes , enabling vulnerable people to call for assistance at any time of the day or night . Our dedicated call centre at Stantonbury receives around 15000 calls a month and we respond with care , we respond with compassion , we listen , we assess and ultimately, if needed ,we dispatch a responder.

Shifts are 2 day shifts (07:30 - 19:30 ) 2 night shifts (19:30 - 07:30) rolling across an 8 week rota with AWP paid at 35% ( basic pay £20,852 + AWP £7,298.20)

Main Responsibility

As a Care and Response Officer you will be working across all aspects of the service

  • call handling - you will learn to quickly determine the nature of the call and provide the most appropriate response 
  • mobile responder - face to face support in peoples home , assisting after a fall or providing advice and guidance
  • installer of equipment in people homes - install and maintain and understand telecare equipment .

Full training is provided for all aspects of the role .
