We’re currently looking for two Team Leader’s for our Short Breaks Respite Service and our Learning Disability Day Service.
Working as part of a team, you’ll be accountable for the quality of day-to-day care, administration and organisation of the service. You’ll support adults with their daily lives including activities, personal development, and personal care, while creating a genuine connection.

Main Responsibility
- Short Breaks Respite Service you will be working a 37 hour shift pattern, 7.30am-3.30pm and 1.30pm-9.30pm over 5 days including weekends. Occasionally 9am-4:45pm to attend mandatory training.
- Day Services you will be working 37 hours per week Monday – Friday 8:45am-4:30pm. One day a week you will be required to work 8am-4:30pm to attend a team meeting.
- These roles are full time positions; however, job share could be considered so if you are only looking for part time work, please ensure you state this on your application.
The Ideal Candidate
- Understand the needs and practical support issues of people with Learning Disabilities
- Ability to lead a team
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
including recording and report writing where required.
- ICT skills (Microsoft office) and ability to learn other systems
- Good organisational skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate new ideas into practice
- Ability to organise and monitor staff rotas
- Able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Able to actively assess risks and devise strategies around service user and staff safety, both in planned and unplanned situations
- Ability to reflect on own practice to improve performance
- Able to respond flexibly to a changing workload
- Completing tasks to a deadline to a consistently high standard
- Able to resolve and manage risks to ensure own and others safety and recognise when it is appropriate to escalate concerns to manager
- Manage own and others’ time effectively
- Conflict resolution skills
