Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Business Support Officer to work within our Safeguarding Adults Team.
You’ll join a vibrant and friendly team of social workers, social work assistants and another business support officer, to support the team in responding to concerns received via email, phone and our online portal.
You’ll be the first point of contact for the public, providers, and colleagues where you’ll provide support, advice, and guidance. You’ll escalate safeguarding concerns to the team.
Main Responsibility
- Work as a member of the Adult Social Care Safeguarding Team, as the single point of access for customers, both public and professionals who contact MKCC.
- Maintain accurate records and to capture and analyse the information to ensure that all referrals are managed in an effective and timely manner at all times.
- Monitor referrals and escalate priority matters to the social workers/screening/manager for consideration in line with legal requirements.
- Co-ordinate internal processes for the team, in liaison with social workers, making referrals, organising meetings, and obtaining information from external agencies.
- Demonstrate ability to use own judgements and creativity to assess situation, solve straight forward problems and adapt to new ways of working.
- Provide information and advice service for professionals, customers and their representatives who require help, advice or support while employing a diverse range of communication methods, both written and oral.
