Social Work Practice Lead (Adults Services)

Job Introduction

We’re seeking an approachable person to join our Quality and Performance Team as Social Work Practice Lead. The team brings together an eclectic mix of skill sets with the primary function of supporting in the delivery of quality social care, provider and housing services to local people.

You’ll work closely with the Principal Social Worker, Quality and Performance Coordinator and full time Practice Educator, with a focus on developing the current and future social care workforce through practice-based learning, critical reflection, action learning sets and workshops.

Main Responsibility

  • As the Social Work Practice Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of our delivery, ensuring that practice is strengths based and in keeping with best practice guidelines, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • You will provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to our social work staff, promoting excellence in all that we do.
  • You will design, deliver and facilitate key learning opportunities and reflective practice sessions for front line colleagues to lead on continuing professional development.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Social Worker.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Able to evidence extensive Continuing Professional Development.
  • An approachable person who is passionate about excellent, high quality Social Work Practice.
  • For this role you are required to have a full UK driving licence and provide evidence of your vehicle insurance with business cover and use of a vehicle. If you are successful, you will be required to supply evidence of your licence prior to starting the role.
  • Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week.  Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
