Job Introduction

We’re looking for a Rough Sleeper Navigator to join our progressive Rough Sleeper Team.

This is a full-time role, and an enhanced DBS check is required.

Main Responsibility

  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure there is a Navigator presence at Emergency night provision.
  • Assess the needs of the service users to accurately determine the level of need to support with successful move on.
  • Ensure that any interventions, including referrals and sign posting are completed in a timely manner.
  • Balance the varying demands of a caseload, maintain accurate individual case records and ensure that all required actions are completed to agreed timescales.
  • Partnership work with internal and external agencies to ensure intelligence is gained and shared appropriately.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Enjoys talking to people and trying to put things right.
  • For this role you are required to have a full UK driving licence and provide evidence of your vehicle insurance with business cover and use of a vehicle. If you are successful, you will be required to supply evidence of your licence prior to starting the role.
  • You might be asked to change your schedule to cover the emergency night provision.
  • Professionally curious – you want to explore and understand what is happening rather than making assumptions or taking a single source of information and accepting it at face value.

Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Package Description

In addition to your salary, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • Great holiday benefits - most roles include 28 days annual leave every year on top of public (bank) holidays, increasing to 32 days after five years.  In addition, there is a holiday purchase scheme allowing staff to purchase up to 5 additional days of leave each year.
  • Excellent pension – everyone who works for us can join the national Local Government Pension Scheme, widely regarded as one of the best available.
