We’re looking for caring and active people to work within provider services with adults both on site and within the community.

It’s a varied and interesting role with no two days the same. We’re looking for Relief Support Workers that can be flexible and work different shifts to cover staff holidays, sickness and training days as well as weekends and bank holidays.

Our services are rated ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and our friendly and professional teams deliver high-quality person-centred support.

We offer training and coaching in addition to a wealth of in-team experience to help you gain the specific skills you’ll need. You’ll have excellent communication skills including verbal and written, and relationship building skills.

We’re looking for someone who can commit to undertake mandatory training and willing to learn new skills.

Main Responsibility

  • Deliver personalised care and support to people with a range of support needs.
  • Record information using IT systems as well as giving verbal and written handovers and feedback to colleagues, families and other professionals.
  • Complete all mandatory and additional training identified as required, this will include safeguarding vulnerable adults, moving and handling and supporting with medication.
  • Provide support in line with individual care plans, reporting changes in a person’s needs, and following instruction from line managers.

  • Someone who is kind and wants to make a difference to the lives of others.
  • Observant and will identify risks and changes in a person that need to be reported.
  • Can communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Is flexible and has a positive approach.
  • Can commit to undertake mandatory training and willing to learn new skills. Actively supports others.
  • For this role you are required to have a full UK driving licence and provide evidence of your vehicle insurance with business cover and use of a vehicle. If you are successful, you will be required to supply evidence of your licence prior to starting the role.
  • Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week.  Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
