Job Introduction
We’re seeking Relief Adult Learning Support Assistants to join our Community Learning MK team.
We offer a range of educational opportunities to local residents to enable them to achieve their goals and ambitions.
You’ll support and assist in the teaching of language, literacy or numeracy to adults and young people.
We’re based at a dedicated Learning Centre in Central Milton Keynes Library although we offer courses in centres around the city so you may be required to work in a variety of locations.
CLMK Adult Education is a Good Provider as rated by Ofsted and Matrix.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
Main Responsibility
- Support learners who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
- Work with the class tutor to support learners with additional needs to achieve their learning goals
- Support and assist in the teaching of Language, Literacy or Numeracy to adults and young people.
The Ideal Candidate
- Educated to GCSE level 4 in maths and English, have a good level of general education and be experienced in supporting adults and young people in a learning environment
- This is a sessional position and teaching opportunities are subject to courses recruiting sufficient enrolments.
- Able to get about, ideally with a driving license.
- You’ll be flexible – you might be asked to work in another place and with short notice.
