Job Introduction
This is exciting opportunity to work across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Integrated Care System (ICS) on mental health inequalities and prevention.
The post holder will collaborate with a range of partners, including those with lived experience, to support the delivery of the BLMK Mental Health Equalities Strategy and lead on the prevention strand of the plan.
Hosted by the Public Health Team, this role will require the post holder to work closely with a range of key stakeholders and develop multi agency action plans informed by evidence, best practice and local strategies which centre on improving the mental health and wellbeing of local residents.

Main Responsibility
- Lead the BLMK ICS sign up to the Prevention Concordat for Better Mental Health.
- Facilitate a Mental Health Inequalities Needs Assessment to identify priorities and inform action, recognising the different demographics within the BLMK footprint.
- Lead a multi-agency action plan focussed on prevention across BLMK which adopts key public mental health principles.
- Influence and co-ordinate organisations and agencies to increase their engagement with mental health and wellbeing, mental ill health prevention and address health inequalities.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has experience working at a strategic level either within Public Health, Mental Health, Health Improvement or a closely related discipline. They will need to have a good understanding of the principles and practice of 'public mental health' and have the skills to influence and co-ordinate other organisations and agencies.
The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate an ability in collating and analysing data to produce intelligence that informs decision making, planning, implementation, performance monitoring and evaluation.
