Job Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Public Health Workplace Health Team and contribute to the strategic development, planning, implementation and evaluation of specific programmes and initiatives to improve health outcomes for the working age population of Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Milton Keynes. As a member of our Public Health team, you will be in a key position to protect vulnerable residents and improve their wellbeing by helping to reduce health inequalities within the local communities. This will be an opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of others.
Main Responsibility
- Lead the formulation of plans and development of strategies to support workplace health and worklessness
- Undertake project management, including the planning, organisation and implementation of relevant public health areas including marketing and communications
- Implement policies for workplace health and worklessness and propose service changes to meet the needs of the working aged population and in line with evidence of good practice
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree-level education and/or relevant professional qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Good communication, engagement and partnership working skills
- Project management skills
- Ability to access and appraise evidence and data
