Performance Analyst

Job Introduction

We’re recruiting a Performance Analyst to join our Performance and Systems Team who are responsible for performance data reporting and the submission of statutory returns.

You’ll support the Head of Customer, Data, and Insight in providing performance management information across the city council, reporting to senior management, councillors, and other relevant stakeholders.

This is a part time role for 18.5 hours per week.

Main Responsibility

  • Support the provision of key insights into Council services through extraction and scrutinising of council data.
  • Support the provision of regular reports for performance monitoring information about trends and variations from agreed targets and benchmarks.
  • Provide support and challenge to Service Groups to enable evidence of delivery against the Council’s strategic aims and objectives.
  • Support the Head of Customer, Data, and Insight with reporting of corporate information as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to National Qualifications Framework Level 5 (degree) or above in relevant disciplines or relevant workplace experience.
  • Attention to detail and able to spot trends and patterns in data.
  • Knowledge and skills in collecting, collating, analysing, and communicating data.
  • Ability to produce complex reports and documentation to a high standard.
  • Some knowledge of SQL coding, PowerBI or any other reporting tools.

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week.  Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
