Improvement Partner - Early Years

Job Introduction

We’re recruiting an Improvement Partner for early years to help us make a real difference for children across Milton Keynes.

You’ll join our Education Outcomes service, working closely with colleagues across settings, schools and our wider early years community to improve the quality of early education.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll use your knowledge of early years practice, safeguarding and setting/school improvement to help raise standards and reduce inequalities.

In return, you’ll be joining a welcoming team within Milton Keynes City Council, where we work as one council and follow our values every day – we’re dedicated, respectful and collaborative.

The role requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a relevant professional background in early years education.

This role may be suitable for home working, following an assessment. Home-based roles require a minimum of one day in the office/site per week.

Interviews for this role will be held on 1 May

  • Lead and deliver projects that improve early years education and care, including multi-agency programmes to reduce inequalities.
  • Help settings build capacity by supporting self-evaluation, development planning and effective communication.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to confirm your appointment without these documents.

If you’re offered the role, we’ll arrange an Enhanced DBS check as part of our pre-employment process (unless you’re already registered with the DBS Update Service).
