Senior Programme Manager - ICT

Job Introduction

An exciting Senior Management role within ICT & Print services, we are seeking a Senior Partner to scope, drive and deliver key future ICT strategic requirements across all Milton Keynes Council services. 

Heading up a team of professional ICT change managers with our Project Managers and Business Analysts; all whilst being supported by a competent Programme Office.  You will be responsible for bringing these strategies to life by working directly with Council Service Leads, focusing on the delivery of an agreed tailored ICT roadmap specific to each department’s requirements.

Effective change management across the overall technical landscape for Milton Keynes council is another key part of this role, and allows you to be a key part of the development and delivery of the councils ICT Future strategy.

Main Responsibility

To manage the strategic relationship of ICT and council service leads.

To drive the ICT change portfolio.

To provide leadership and project/programme governance to the whole ICT team and direct management of the Client Engagement Team (Project Managers, Business Analysts and the Programme Office).

To plan, recruit and manage project resource provision via the ICT Programme Board.

    

             

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring experience of successful business relationship management, business analysis, project/programme management and programme office experience gained while working in technical environments.

They will be a good communicator with an ability to bridge the strategic languages of council services and the technical world of ICT.

They will enjoy being a successful leader as well as being a team player, with a passion for delivery of ICT projects.

We are looking for an experienced person to run our ICT programme office and manage the pipeline of requests. Someone to work with the business areas to understand their future roadmap
