Enhanced Practitioner (Children's Social Care)

Job Introduction

We are looking for passionate, experienced individuals who would like to use their skills to make a real difference to children, young people and their families before issues arise, as part of Early Help. If you have experience of working with community groups and supporting people along with an Early Years Qualification this could be the ideal post for you. You will need an Enhanced DBS for this role.

Main Responsibility

  • Work as a team to run outreach sessions for target families who find it difficult to access our centres

  • Where appropriate, work with other professionals to meet the needs of children and families.

  • Plan and deliver parenting sessions to the services users 

  • Support the Family Centre Head to design a calendar of activities​

  • Provide support to case workers as lead professionals ensuring that Early Help assessments are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Promote and deliver a range of activities to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing positive centred learning opportunities 

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • Someone who can get about, ideally with a driving license. ​

  • Someone who enjoys talking to people and really listening to them

  • Someone who is flexible as you may be asked to work in another centre at short notice

  • Someone who can implement strategies to work with hard to reach families

  • To be able to make appropriate decisions and deputise
