Job Introduction
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our high performing Monitoring and Payments Team.
We’re responsible for the preparation and processing of payments to providers and for maintaining key financial information. This is a fast-paced area with no two days the same.
We work closely with teams around the city council and you’ll build trusted relationships here and with our external partners.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with figures and systems. You’ll be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, have great attention to detail, and a flexible approach in order to meet business needs, such as occasionally dealing with vulnerable Adult Social Care clients and their representatives.
A DBS check is required.
This role may be suitable for home working, following an assessment.

Main Responsibility
- Calculate and process payments to providers, ensuring they are accurate.
- Answer payment and funding queries from providers.
- Maintain financial records.
- Negotiate any recovery of payments or process refunds.
- Maintain and update relevant systems.
The Ideal Candidate
- Ability to talk with a wide range of people.
- Good analytical skills.
- Able to work with figures and has the ability to reconcile accounts.
- Good at using IT systems and familiar with Microsoft and Excel.

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
