EHC Education Delivery Manager

Job Introduction

We’re seeking an EHC Education Delivery Manager to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team who deliver all statutory work relating to SEND.

You’ll have strategic oversight of the delivery of educational packages for children and young people with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan as well as ensuring that we remain within our allocated budget.

Although this role is based in our Civic offices, you’ll need to travel to other locations such as family homes, community sessions, and schools and settings.

Strong management skills, a robust understanding of SEND law and resilience is a must.

As this work will include working with children and young people you will require an enhanced DBS.

This is a site-based role.

Interviews for this role will be held on 21 August.

Main Responsibility

  • Have strategic oversight of educational packages for children and young people who are not in education with an EHCP.
  • Lead key priorities outlined in the SEND strategy. 
  • Be part of strategic development of SEND services.
  • Manage complaints and expectations of services and customers.
  • Ensure the service remains within budget.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified teacher with leadership experience for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Flexible in your approach to work especially in the ever changing landscape of SEND.
  • Experience in strategic leadership and driving forward improvement. 
  • Ability to manage a budget under pressure.

For this role, the candidate is required to have a full UK driving licence, along with access to a vehicle. Evidence of the driving licence and vehicle insurance with business insurance will be required from the candidate should they be offered this position. Without this documentation the candidate will not be appointable.

Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week.  Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
