Job Introduction

The Council’s Housing Asset Management and Investment Team manages 11,000 homes and a further 3,000 shared ownership and leaseholder properties. We have a substantial investment programme in place and are looking to appoint a Data Analyst to ensure our information is robust to support future financial planning and investment decisions. 

The role will involve collating information from various sources and updating our databases accordingly. You’ll also produce reports from the data for a range of purposes and audiences. You’ll work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues, alongside our partnering contractors to ensure future investment decisions are based on reliable data.

You have the opportunity to work in a hybrid manner, with some days from home along with a minimum of one day a week in the office.

Main Responsibility

  • Ensure the property information in our databases, including Keystone and NEC, is kept up to date and accurate. This will involve updating information from our repairs & maintenance contractor of improvement works carried out on homes.
  • You will provide reports and information from the data held, from an individual property level to a whole estate or across all our stock. Detailing condition and investment need, in a way the intended audience can understand and to support informed decision making as required.
  • Our ability to provide information for statutory authorities including annual returns is essential and this role will be key to ensuring the data is collected and provided in a timely manner.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will ideally have experience of using Keystone or an equivalent asset management database in a social housing setting.
  • Experience of collating data, from various sources and checking for accuracy when entering data are essential skills for this role to ensure the information in the system is accurate and meaningful.
  • You will need to demonstrate your ability to analyse data to identify trends, issues and risks. Then have experience of presenting that information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Whilst you will lead on data capture and analysis you will have experience of working as part of a wider team, supporting them to provide information in the required format as well as understanding the data already held.
