Job Introduction
We have a new exciting opportunity for an additional Community Liason Officer (CLO) within our Safeguarding Adults Team. You’ll join a vibrant, friendly team of social workers, social work assistants and another CLO to support the team in responding to concerns received via email, phone and our online portal. As a CLO you will be the first point of contact for the public, providers and colleagues; providing support, advice and guidance; and escalating safeguarding concerns to the team.

Main Responsibility
To work as a member of the adult social care safeguarding team, as the single point of access managing difficult emotional situations with customers, providing information and advice.
To maintain accurate records and to capture and analyse the information to ensure that all referrals are managed in an effective and timely manner at all times.
To monitor referrals and escalate priority matters.
To support the team in their role in the gathering of information from professionals or public to facilitate decision making.
To co-ordinate internal processes for the team, in liaison with social workers, making referrals, organising meetings and obtaining information from external agencies.
To co-ordinate obtaining information from external agencies. Responsible for recording queries from external agencies and safeguarding representatives and supporting responses.
