Whitehouse Community Council is seeking a competent Council and Facilities Support Officer to join its small team of community minded individuals.  This dynamic new role requires someone who can efficiently manage a variety of tasks, supporting the management of the Council’s facilities (Whitehouse Community Meeting Place (The Hive) and Allotment Site); assist in the delivery of an ambitious community engagement programme and who is keen to help organise new activities, develop new initiatives and assist in the continued success of our events programme.

Main Responsibility

You will be experienced in undertaking general administrative tasks, have basic Microsoft Office skills and will be expected to handle telephone calls, face-to-face enquiries, emails, and correspondence using a high level of customer care.  You will ensure our community centre is well maintained, contract specifications are adhered to, and scheduled health and safety checks, servicing and repairs are carried out on time..

You will liaise regularly with allotment tenants and carry out plot inspections, ensuring tenants comply with their tenancy agreements.

Bringing our community together is a key priority for the Council and you will play a major role in organising the Council’s community events, activities and initiatives and assisting in the development of a new volunteer strategy.
