Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council have a new job opportunity available for an experienced Community Project/Engagement officer to complement our dynamic team.
Main Responsibility
This is a post that enhances the engagement the Council has with the wider community and recognises a need to continue to build on the existing relationships the Town Council has forged over recent years.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to be multifaceted with good communication skills and someone who has proven experience of building community engagement through running events and developing and delivering projects from conception to completion. You will need to be comfortable with producing reports and be ready to manage multiple budgets, so previous experience is a must for you to feel comfortable in this role.
You will need to communicate with a combination of tact and directness and be someone who can be calm yet flexible in thinking when managing workloads under pressure as no two days are the same! There will be some evening or weekend work associated with this role.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in community project management and delivery, be able to provide evidence through past experience for this role. It would be helpful to your role if you have some knowledge of contracts, tenders and risk assessing potential project rollouts. It is essential that you a full, clean driving licence and use of car, as the role will involve travel for site visits as the need is required.
