Job Introduction
We’re looking for people with experience in social care or health commissioning to join us as Commissioning Officers. This role will focus on Children and young people.
You’d be part of a busy team who is responsible for all care and health commissioning and who also takes the lead on some procurement activity as well as managing contracts.?
We work closely with health and social care colleagues to ensure that commissioning practice meets the needs of the local population.

Main Responsibility
- Working as part of the Commissioning team, you’ll support all commissioning activity.
- You’ll support services and projects that may involve working across adults and children's health and social care services.
- You need to be able to work autonomously, ability to think creativity and be able to influence and negotiate with professional staff and providers.
The Ideal Candidate
- Educated to degree level or has level 5 wellbeing qualification or demonstrable experience in social care or health commissioning.
- Ability to manage and influence challenging Social Care and Health markets.
- Experience of coproducing and developing in partnership with service users, carers, and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project management and delivery of project in pressured environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good analytical skills, highly organised and able to take ownership.
- For this role you are required to have a full UK driving licence. If you are successful, you will be required to supply evidence of your licence prior to starting the role. You will be required to provide evidence of your vehicle insurance with business use
- Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks a basic DBS will be actioned for you.
