Care Assistant (Courtney Lodge)

Job Introduction

Courteneys Lodge is an extra care sheltered housing scheme for people living with Dementia. It enables people to live independently with the support of a care team on site. We are looking for relief Care Assistants that can be flexible and work different shifts to cover staff holidays, sickness etc. In this key role, you will provide personal, social, and emotional support to our tenants. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally and written. No experience is necessary as full training will be given.

Main Responsibility

  • Assisting with personal care and administering medication.
  • Able to provide emotional support.
  • Encouraging social interaction.
  • End of life care.
  • Assisting with meal preparation.

  • Someone who is kind, patient, caring.
  • Be able to show empathy.
  • Someone who is flexible.
  • Someone who can commit to undertake mandatory training and who is willing to learn new skills.
  • Someone with a can do attitude and a team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assisting with meal preparation.
