Job Introduction
We’re seeking a Caretaker with relevant experience to help maintain our wonderful village.
This position is paid at an hourly rate of £11 and tax and national insurance will be deducted at source. An estimated 20-25 hours per month is envisaged but this can be subject to seasonal change.

Main Responsibility
- The upkeep of village assets with duties either to personally undertake a range of repair tasks and safety measures OR to oversee outsourcing as necessary according to personal qualifications/skills.
- Requisitioning the necessary supplies, equipment and tools and working within a budget.
- Conducting regular inspections to determine which areas of the village need attention.
- Keeping maintenance schedules and records up to date.
- Working with the Pavilion Caretaker to facilitate opening and closing of the sports facility on fixture days.
- Emptying of village bins.
- Regularly monitoring the condition and actioning maintenance of the village noticeboards, benches, fences and other structures.
- Maintenance of play areas and play structures as necessary.
- Working with the Clerk to deliver the devolved landscaping services agreement, including landscaping tasks.
As well as any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Clerk or Council.
