Business Intelligence Officer

Job Introduction

We’re seeking someone who enjoys collecting, collating, and evaluating information to join our Commissioning team as a Business Intelligence Officer on a one-year fixed term contract.

Our team is responsible for buying services on behalf of adult and children’s social care, which includes colleagues involved homelessness prevention and tackling domestic abuse.

As the Business Intelligence Officer, you’ll work on statutory data and financial returns, and use data to help colleagues plan, make robust commissioning decisions and improve practice.

A DBS is required for this role as you’ll be working with sensitive data and financial information.

Main Responsibility

  • Compiling data and financial returns on both a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Produce accessible, well presented information reports in a variety of styles and formats.
  • Working to improve sufficiency and the quality of local care and support markets.
  • Working in collaboration with commissioners to advise on key business needs.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Enjoys collecting, collating, evaluating and interpreting complex information, and enjoy developing processes and plans to inform decisions and recommendations.
  • The role would suit a person with existing knowledge of the key business needs of adult social care and has experience of working in local government.
  • Self-motivated and can use their own initiative.
