Job Introduction
We’re recruiting an Assistant HR Advisor to join our friendly and professional HR team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their HR career. You will provide high-quality support to managers and employees while gaining broad experience across employee relations and HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
Part-time role (18.5 hours per week), typically worked across 3–4 days, with at least one day being a Monday or Friday. Hours/days will be discussed at interview. Please state your preferred working pattern and hours in your supporting statement.
This is a site-based role with some flexibility to work from home.

Main Responsibility
- Provide accurate and timely advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions
- Manage lower-level employee relations cases such as absence, probation and performance, escalating more complex matters where appropriate
- Support HR Advisors and HR Business Partners with formal case preparation, including documentation and correspondence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR systems
- Monitor and respond to queries through the HR advisory inbox
- Support cyclical HR activities and team priorities
- Build effective working relationships with managers and colleagues across the organisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying more efficient ways of working
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within HR or a people-focused environment
- Is CIPD Level 3 qualified (or willing to work towards), or has relevant HR experience
- Has strong organisational skills and can manage competing priorities effectively
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Has a keen eye for detail and is committed to maintaining accurate records
- Is confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and databases
- Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Our roles are either designated ‘site based’ or ‘home based’. ‘Site based’ roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst ‘home based’ roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
